It seems to me that if there are people who can be called 'pros' in using classifieds, I'm not among them, but I do have some experience working with similar websites.
Today I'll talk about the most convenient one I know, which is Upoint Market.
Service Listings
I registered on this site for the first time to advertise my Rebozo massage services. I must mention that this type of massage isn't as familiar to many as the usual kind. Therefore, despite detailing everything in the ad, when I received calls and messages from potential clients, I heard surprise when asked, 'do you know what Rebozo massage is?' For some reason, even though the service name is visible in the ad, many assume it's just a peculiarly named regular massage. One of the advantages of placing this service ad is that it's entirely free.
Selling Used Goods
Later, I posted children's items for sale: a stroller-bike, a child seat, a baby bath, and even some car accessories. Some items were sold quickly, while others were purchased several months after the initial listing. Interestingly, despite setting the ad to auto-republish after the expiry period (which is a month), they still end up in the 'Awaiting Action' tab. Therefore, I have to manually renew the ad after the 30 days elapse.
I want to note that while posting ads, I've never used additional promotion services, although Upoint Market offers these quite frequently. There are various options that, as I understand, can make ads more visible and frequently shown to potential clients. Additionally, with certain types of promotion, your ads can be specially highlighted, setting them apart from others. I can't speak to how this works because, as mentioned earlier, I haven't used the promotion service.
Buying Goods
Apart from advertising items and services on Upoint Market, I've also bought things here. The advantage is that you can find good items, sometimes even brand new, at low prices. I've used both delivery and picked up items myself from the seller. It's very convenient.
Real Estate Rentals
On Upoint Market's classifieds, there's also the option to rent various houses, apartments, and spaces. I've used this service several times when looking for a cottage in the Moscow region for weekends or accommodation during a trip to the Mediterranean.
The plus side of this type of ad is that you can find accommodation to suit any taste and budget. The downside is that the interior photos don’t always match reality. There was an experience where a house looked beautiful in the photos but wasn't as great in reality.
Currently, for property rentals, ads have a reservation feature. In such cases, you can immediately see which dates are available and which are taken.
Additionally, regarding this type of ad on Upoint Market, if there isn't significant correspondence with the seller in the Upoint Market chat, showing that a deal is being made, then leaving a review later becomes impossible. There seems to be a stringent check here to prevent fake reviews. I encountered this once when I had most of the negotiations with the landlord over the phone and on WhatsApp. Despite my sincere desire to leave a positive review for this person on the platform, I couldn't manage it, even after providing screenshots of our conversations and agreements to customer support.
I think it's fair to say that Upoint Market classifieds is quite a convenient application both for posting ads and for finding what you need. The website has a user-friendly interface that's easy to navigate and won't take much time to get used to.
