Now it is required to present a negative result of a rapid test done in 48 hours to visit hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. The mandatory use of masks in these places for both staff and visitors was also emphasized. These recommendations were agreed upon by the scientific committee on combating COVID-19 and Minister of Health Popi Kanari.
The newspaper also clarified that weekly tests will be resumed in nursing homes and closed institutions, and vaccination will be strengthened in these places, where the vaccination rate now stands at 18 percent. Currently, 82 people are being treated for COVID-19 on the Greek part of the island, and 3 of them are in the intensive care unit. The need to wear masks remains mandatory everywhere for everyone.
