American flight attendants shared tips on what foods and drinks passengers should avoid on board the plane, the Independent reports.
According to Whitney, a flight attendant at one of the major American airlines, she does not advise passengers to drink the water offered on board.
"It all depends on how often the pipes in the system are cleaned, where the water comes from. Most flight attendants avoid drinking tap water on board the plane," she admitted.
Another flight attendant, Dennis, recommended avoiding fish or meat steaks served during the flight, as they are often overcooked.
"If you are strict about cooking steaks, it is better to refrain from eating them," she added.
